Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for contributing to the efficient and effective operations of the Payroll Department, through timely and accurate processing of salary and wage payments, benefit changes and enrollments, while ensuring compliance with CRA, Quebec Legislation policies.
You will be responsible for providing support between the professional services activity of our business and the integrity of our payroll documentation.
Qualifications (Education /Experience/ Skills & Abilities)
- PCP certificate designation is required
- Experience with Pay@Work, EZLabor & ADP Streamline an asset
- Minimum of 3 years or more of work experience in a payroll/benefits role.
- Experience with large volume of payroll
- Generate ad-hoc reports as required
- Knowledge of payroll-related legislation and labour standards in Canada
- Solid knowledge of Quebec payroll rule.
- Excellent customer service skills with a well-developed professional phone manner and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- High organized, detail oriented, proficient in problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong prioritization and follow-up skills
- Bilingual, French and English
