Team Leader

The St.Mary’s facility is looking for a Team Leader to work in any of our departments or shifts. This role will report to the shift supervisor, the team leader is responsible for maintaining an efficient and safe operation of their department. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast paced food manufacturing environment and have a demonstrated ability to work safely, ensuring safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employee’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing day to day direction to department employees
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S legislation
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP’s, Food Safety Policies and Procedures, CFIA regulations
  • Understand and manage KPI’s while communicating results in a timely accord.
  • Guaranteeing customer satisfaction by adhering to product specs (PSOP’s)
  • Provide proper and adequate training of all department employees.
  • Be involved in performance evaluations of all department employees.
  • Coaching and counseling of department employees.
  • Appropriate communication within the plant to any and all departments; both production and non-production.
  • Effective communication with Supervisor
  • Completion and Accuracy of minimal administrative duties within KRONOS, SAP, Outlook and Microsoft programs.

Customer Service Manager

The Customer Service Manager is accountable for leading the customer service activities for Alternative Protein.  This includes responsibility for the daily execution of the Customer Service processes of order management, incoming call routing (where applicable) and daily issue resolution as well as the coaching and performance management of their respective team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Hire, retain, motivate and reward employees to provide exceptional Customer Service and to strive for continuous improvement.
  • Tactical execution of the Customer Service or Supply Chain strategic plan (where applicable)
  • Ensure Customer Service team executes the daily order management process. The manager will work with the team, customers and other functional areas to resolve issues that arise.
  • Will act as a primary Customer Service contact, at tactical level, for key cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain Planning, Finance), managing these relationships to ensure effective and efficient Customer Service processes.
  • Ensure that telephony call-routing where applicable meets department targets and process guidelines
  • Work with cross-functional teams, to ensure order fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain professional, long-term customer relationships.
  • Ensure the effective management of claims.
  • Identify and select opportunities to enhance Alternative Protein’s systems and processes; marshalling the resources to prepare and execute continuous improvement projects where appropriate.

Supply Specialist (Contract)

As a member of the Purchasing team, the Supply Specialist is accountable for the effective supply of materials to our production facilities to meet corporate service level targets, facilitating new product launches and changes to existing products, minimizing material write-offs, and supporting cost savings projects.

A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:

  • Responsible for analysis of MRP demand signals to determine appropriate levels of packaging and ingredient inventory and subsequent placement of outline agreements (contracts) with vendors.
  • Purchasing lead on new product launches to ensure that quotes are received from vendors, materials are set-up for ordering, extended to all relevant locations, and the timely receipt of materials at our plants to facilitate production.  Attend cross-functional team meetings to enable critical path timeline.
  • Assists Commercial team with rationalizations and changes to products to ensure the efficient transition from old to new materials takes place with minimal write-off liability.
  • Analysis of ordering patterns and common packaging die lines to enable efficient order quantities and take advantage of negotiated volume price breaks.
  • Analysis of vendor minimum order quantity requirements (MOQs) to ensure that we minimize waste on low demand items in keeping with our Sustainability goals.
  • Assists Sourcing team with cost savings projects, through analysis of material inventory levels, open orders, and run out dates.
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to solve any supply issues that may arise (e.g. expediting orders, pricing discrepancies, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned (e.g. SAP Key User, continuous improvement project involvement, review/approve shopping carts, approve vendor change requests, catalog upload request/price correction etc.).

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for reporting on the retail finance function and supporting the marketing team with ad hoc requests and analysis. This position works very closely with the marketing group to accurately reflect and provide detailed insight/explanation of results. In addition, this position plays a key role in the budget process and is involved in various aspects throughout the entire cycle.

  • Commercial Support: Proactively supporting commercial teams in projects (new product launches) as main finance lead. Ensure that all analyses completed are ‘value-added’ and align to the Business Unit’s Priorities. Become a true business partner by ensuring that you are involved in the key commercial priorities – strategy sessions, budgeting, new product launches, and pricing decisions (ad hoc analysis).
