If you are an experienced Cost Accountant and have Manufacturing experience please consider the following job details.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Previous Manufacturing / Production experience in a similar role
- Managerial Experience is preferred
- Computer literate, strong excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
- Strong Cost systems background & excellent analytical skills
- Sound understanding of accounting principals
- Experience in ISO 9000 Quality System environment an asset
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour
- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs; making estimates of new and proposed product costs
- Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
- Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports; Maintaining Cost Accounting System
